About the Teacher/Welcome Msg

Education: I received my Bachelor's degree in Special Education from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2003.

Experience:

2003-2005 - North Forrest Elementary, Forrest County School District, Hattiesburg, MS (6th grade resource and inclusion)

2005-2010 - Parkview Elementary, Meridian Public School District, Meridian, MS (Self-contained, ages 5-9 for four years and K/1st inclusion for one year)

2010-2012 - Senatobia Middle School, Senatobia Municipal School District, Senatobia, MS (3rd/4th grade resource)

2012-2013 - Desoto Central Primary, Desoto County Schools, Southaven, MS (Self-contained, ages 5-9)

2014-present - Hernando Hills, Special Needs Teacher

Bio: I have been married for nineteen years to my husband, Chris. We have two children. My son is in middle school and my daughter is at OGCE. We have a golden retriever named Penny and two rough collies named Blue Belle and Teddy. My husband and I are originally from Meridian, MS, but moved to Hernando when he took a job at NWCC in 2010. We love Hernando! I am enjoying teaching in the community in which I live and where my children attend school. We are members of Christ Covenant Church.
