Administrative Team

I am truly honored to have the opportunity to serve as the principal here at Hernando Hills Elementary School. I am looking forward to starting this journey with this amazing school family. My husband and I are residents of Hernando, and our 3 children have all attended Hernando High School. This community is important to my family and me, and I am thrilled to be able to be a part of Hernando Schools.

Here at Hernando Hills, we strive to create a space where all students feel safe and welcome. We foster a sense of community and inclusion. We understand that relationships are the cornerstone of learning, and we strive to meet the needs of all students through those relationships. We are here to inspire our students to be lifelong learners. It is a going to be a great year to learn together!

I am so excited to serve my community as the Assistant Principal of Hernando Hills Elementary.  Before I became an administrator , I was a U.S. History teacher at Horn Lake Middle School (2001-2005) and Horn Lake High School (2005-2013).  I began my administration career in 2014 as an intern at Horn Lake Intermediate School.  I was hired that fall and served as assistant principal at HLIS for 5 years.  I also served as assistant principal at Olive Branch Intermediate for the 2019-2020 school year. I have been the Assistant Principal at Hernando Hills since the 2020/2021 school year.  

I graduated from Hernando High School in 1996 and the University of Southern Mississippi in 2000, with a degree in Sociology.  I earned my master's degree in educational leadership at Arkansas State. I am married with one daughter (Aubrey).  When I am not at school, I am either at the gym teaching classes or being a soccer mom.
